Scientific and Cultural Conference on Ghadir Khumm to Be Held in Istanbul

In commemoration of the historic event of Ghadir Khumm, a special scientific and cultural conference titled “Ghadir Khumm: Declaration of Leadership and Unity of the Ummah” will be held in Istanbul, Turkey.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, June 6, 2026, starting at 7:00 PM local time, with pre-event programs and guest reception beginning one hour earlier.

Organized by the Akif Emre Cultural Center in the Bağcılar-Ülker district of Istanbul, the conference will feature prominent scholars and speakers, including Sheikh Jalal Maash, Professor Fazil Aghish, Sayyid Tazil Dede, Ghazi Karababa Dede, and Sayyid Ali Hadi Dede. The discussion panel will be moderated by Jamal Topal, with an opening speech delivered by Hussein Onverdi.

The conference aims to highlight the significance of Wilayah (leadership) and explore strategies for strengthening unity within the Muslim community, drawing on the message of the Ghadir Khumm sermon.
