The Turkish city of Sivas recently organized a joyful ceremony for young children who completed taking courses on memorization of the Holy Qur’anic held during the summer break. The city’s mayor distributed gifts to the participants during the event.
According to ‘Sondakika’ agency, the ceremony honored 200 children who successfully completed the Qur’an memorization and learning courses conducted in the city during the summer holiday.
The agency continued that “the city’s mayor and officials from Istanbul, in the presence of the children’s families and relatives, honoured the participating children, wishing them successin their academic journey.”
Furthermore, the organizers of the event expressed that “children and their parents always dream of being active contributors to charitable and religious projects, and there is no greater honour than learning and teaching the Holy Qur’an.”
