Amnesty Reports Complete Destruction of Southern Gaza Town Amid Rising Israeli Attacks
———————————-
Amnesty International revealed on Monday that Israeli forces have completely razed the southern Gaza town of Khuza’a, based on satellite imagery, Democracy Now reported. The organization described this destruction as fresh evidence of Israel’s genocide against Palestinians in Gaza. Over the past three days, Israeli attacks have killed more than 200 Palestinians, including many waiting for humanitarian aid.
Meanwhile, the United States escalated the regional conflict by striking three Iranian nuclear sites with massive bunker-buster bombs and cruise missiles, acting without congressional approval. President Donald Trump hailed the strikes as a military success, despite intelligence assessments indicating Iran was not pursuing nuclear weapons.
Iran condemned the U.S. attack as a violation of international law and warned of serious consequences. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi criticized the timing, saying diplomacy was underway when the attacks occurred. Following the strikes, Iran launched missiles and drones at Israel, causing power outages and casualties. The Iranian parliament voted to back closing the Strait of Hormuz, a key global shipping route.
UN Secretary-General António Guterres expressed grave alarm over the escalation, calling for peace amid fears of a broader regional spiral of chaos. Israeli attacks have killed at least 950 people and injured thousands in Iran over the past 11 days.
