Seventy-four migrants were rescued from a wooden boat on the Mediterranean Sea between northern Africa and southern Europe on Monday, VOA reported.
All the passengers, 73 men and 1 woman, were found by the Greek coast guard 25 nautical miles south of the small Greek island of Gavdos, the source added.
Greece is a major entry point into the European Union for people fleeing conflict and poverty in the Middle East, Africa, and Asia.
