Ahlulbayt followers organize protest to demand the reconstruction of al-Baqi in front of the Saudi embassy in London
Ahlulbayt followers organized a protest in front of the Saudi embassy in the British capital, London, to commemorate the tragic demolition of the shrines of the Imams of al-Baqi, peace be upon them, in Medina.
Dozens of members of the Muslim community, including men, women and children, participated in the protest, organized by the Labbaik Ya Zahraa Foundation, carrying banners denouncing the crime of demolishing the Baqi shrines and demanding the reconstruction of the holy cemetery.
The protesters denounced the crime of demolishing the pure shrines by the deviant Wahhabi sect.
Iraq witnessed a similar protest organized by the Public Relations Office of the Supreme Religious Authority, Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, in front of the Saudi embassy building in the capital, Baghdad.
Holy shrines, mosques, Husseiniyahs and cultural centers in various Islamic and non-Islamic countries witnessed the organization of various mourning events and protest to commemorate the painful memory of the demolition of the pure shrines in Baqi al-Gharqad.
