Amnesty International urges Hungary to arrest Netanyahu

Amnesty International has urged Hungary to arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who is set to visit the country this week at the invitation of Viktor Orban, Arab News reported.
Netanyahu faces an arrest warrant from the International Criminal Court (ICC) due to alleged war crimes in Gaza. Orban has stated he will not enforce the warrant, despite Hungary’s obligations as an ICC member to do so.
Erika Guevara-Rosas from Amnesty emphasized that allowing Netanyahu’s visit would undermine the ICC and reflect a disregard for international law. She called for global leaders to demand his arrest, highlighting the need for accountability regarding Israel’s actions in the Occupied Palestinian Territory.
