Kyrgyzstan Hosts National Quran Memorization Competition for Girls

Kyrgyzstan is hosting a national Holy Quran memorization contest for girls, with 270 contestants participating in the preliminary rounds.

The competition spans seven provinces and two cities, in which participants compete in four categories: memorizing the entire Quran, 20 Juzes, 10 Juzes, and Quran recitation with Tajweed.

The final rounds began on Tuesday at the Imam Sarakhsi Mosque in Bishkek, where 26 contestants advanced after evaluations by judges.

According to organizers, the initiative aims to promote the teachings of the Quran and counter extremism.
