Free Muslim reaffirms its commitment to the principle of tolerance and calls on world leaders to spread it
The International Nonviolence Organization, Free Muslim, sent a message to all human societies, on the occasion of the International Day for Tolerance, which was on the 16th of November, pointing to the importance of spreading tolerance and commitment to promoting mutual understanding between cultures and peoples.
The organization said in its message, which was seen by Shia Waves News Agency: “The experiences of the past years have proven an important fact that the world is no longer just a small village, but a one whole body.”
It continued, “No one in any part of this world is immune from the repercussions of political differences, religious conflicts, military wars, economic disputes, environmental disasters, and health pandemics around the world. Everyone lived and lives its negative effects in the details of their daily lives, regardless of their ethnicity, nationality, religion, or culture.”
The organization also stated that “the recent global challenges have reinforced the feeling among individuals of the need to take care of themselves and their problems and not to wait for the initiatives of their countries, while realizing the importance of investing technology and social media to interact with their peers around the world who share the same hopes and pains, which paved the way for reaching a common language of understanding in the way to build a better future for them and for future generations,” indicating that “the importance of tolerance emerges as a factor of interaction between people, with meanings of respect for human rights, acceptance of the other, and diversity in its various levels and forms.”
While the organization reaffirmed its commitment to the principles of tolerance, it called on the world’s political, spiritual and social leaders to make more efforts to spread tolerance and not tolerate any attempt to attack that human value, especially in light of the current global conditions in which peace and security are urgently needed on the basis of tolerance.
