Finishing touches on the construction of Imam Al-Asr Mosque in Washington DC
The administration of the Imam Al-Asr Mosque (may Allah hasten his honorable reappearance) in the US capital, Washington DC, revealed the final construction designs of the mosque, which obtained government approval, and reached its final stage prior to its construction, while calling on members of the Shia community in the region to contribute to its completion.
The administration stated in a statement published on its website, and followed by Shia
Waves News Agency, that it “has completed the first and second phases of setting the engineering designs for the new building of the mosque, and they included the purchase of a land of 6 acres for its construction,” indicating that “the second stage included drawing up the architectural plan and design and obtaining government permits to implement it on the ground.”
It explained that “the new building of the Imam Al-Asr Mosque will serve the communities in Washington DC, as it has done for the past twenty years, through its old building.”
