Canadian Muslims launch their annual winter campaign to help the needy


The Muslim Association of Windsor, southwest of the Canadian province of Ontario, launched its annual campaign to help the homeless.
The Islamic community launched the annual campaign in cooperation with some charities to help the homeless in the area.
Zaid Khan, founder of the project, said that “more than a thousand people will benefit from the project this year, and financial aid will be collected to buy food baskets and distribute them to the needy.”
“When I saw a woman starving in the cold, I thought of helping these people,” he added.
A Canadian relief organization has raised funds to help flood victims in the Canadian state of Western Columbia.
Heavy rains in Canada caused severe damage to the region, and roads and schools were closed as a result.
