Moroccan king issues royal pardon for over 1,500 convicts on Eid al-Adha

On the occasion of Eid al-Adha, King Mohammed VI of Morocco granted a royal pardon to 1,526 individuals, Middle East Monitor reported.

The Justice Ministry announced that the pardon was issued on the eve of the festival, which was celebrated on Saturday in Morocco.

The clemency includes 1,305 inmates currently in prison, 206 individuals who are not in custody but have been sentenced, and 15 convicts involved in terrorism and extremism-related cases.
