Five Bodies Found at Suspected Cult Site in Kenya
————————–
According to a report by Al Jazeera, at least five bodies have been recovered from shallow graves in southeastern Kenya, near a site where hundreds of members of a doomsday cult were found dead two years ago. The discovery was made on the outskirts of Malindi in Kilifi County.

Government pathologist Dr. Richard Njoroge stated that more bodies are expected to be found as search efforts continue. Out of 27 suspected graves, six were exhumed, yielding five bodies and an additional 10 scattered body parts.

Kenya’s Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions believes the victims may have been “starved and suffocated as a result of adopting and promoting extreme religious ideologies.” At least 11 suspects are currently under investigation in connection with the deaths. The investigation began after local residents reported several missing children.

This recent discovery is reminiscent of a large-scale cult-related event in 2023, when over 400 bodies were exhumed from the nearby Shakahola Forest.
