The Shias of Madagascar participate in mourning procession on the Arbaeen, organized by the Office of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi

In solidarity with the Arbaeen Pilgrimage of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) in the holy city of Karbala, and to be part of the global revival of this sacred ritual, the Shias organized a massive procession in the city of Majunga in the Republic of Madagascar under the auspices of the Office of the Supreme Religious Authority, His Eminence, Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi.

The representative of the Shirazi Religious Authority in Majunga, Sheikh Muhammad Radhi Wasram, said in a statement to Shia Waves News Agency: “The mourning procession started on the morning of the twentieth of Safar, from the Ahlulbayt Center of the Shirazi Religious Authority to the Office of His Eminence, for a distance of 5 kilometers.”

He added, “Young men, women, seniors and children attended the procession with the love of the Noble Prophet and his pure family (peace be upon them), and with the participation of mourning processions and service Mawkibs to serve the mourners.”

He pointed out that “the mourning procession concluded with a Husseini mourning ceremony in the office of His Eminence, to commemorate the great day and to recall the sacrifices of the Master of Martyrs (peace be upon him) and his great humanitarian renaissance.”
