Nigeria: Police attack Husseini mourners in Ashura procession

Dozens were killed and injured as a result of the Nigerian police shooting at a mourning procession commemorating the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, in the north of the country.

Media sources in Nigeria reported that four people were martyred and dozens were injured as a result of the Nigerian police shooting at an Ashura procession in the north of the country.

The march began in Soba, in the Nigerian city of Zaria.
