Hundreds of Majunga Shias commemorate Eid al-Ghadir and renew the pledge of allegiance to the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him)
With their usual sincerity, loyalty and a smile that does not leave their faces, the Shias in the city of Majunga, Madagascar, revived Allah’s Greatest Eid, Eid al-Ghadir, with active participation of all segments of society.
Hundreds of those celebrating the great anniversary attended the blessed ceremony held by the Office of the Supreme Religious Authority, Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi in the city, renewing the loyalty to Imam Ali (peace be upon him).
The director of the Office of His Eminence, stated in a statement to Shia Waves News Agency, that “the blessed celebration was held on the anniversary of the appointment of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) by the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him and his progeny) as the successor to the Muslims after him, and witnessed a distinguished presence of Ahlulbayt lovers.”
He added that “the ceremony witnessed many religious and cultural activities, while poets recited poems in honor of the Imam (peace be upon him), amid the applause and interaction of the attendees,” noting that “the participations and poems were delivered by the students of the Ahlulbayt Center and the Lady Umm al-Baneen Center (peace be upon them), affiliated with the Shirazi Religious Authority.
For their part, the attendees expressed their happiness in commemorating the Greatest Eid of God and renewing the pledge of allegiance to Imam Ali (peace be upon him), stressing that “such celebrations organized by the Shirazi Religious Authority Office warms their hearts and increases their affiliation and attachment to the pure Imams (peace be upon them).”
