Mourning processions are organized in the streets, in addition to reenactments and historical plays remembering the tragedy of Ashura held in Husseiniyahs.
Mourning ceremonies are attended a large number of Sunnis, which reflects that the Imam, peace be upon him, unites Muslims in Bangladesh.
For their part, journalists and researchers are publishing reports and articles in various newspapers and magazines discussing the Ashura philosophy and the humanitarian and religious principles of this historical event.
It is noteworthy that the Husseini literature is prominent in Bangladesh, as there are books and novels about the Karbala incident, including the novel “Beshad Shindo” (A Sea of Sadness) in three volumes by the writer “Mir Musharraf Hussain” on the Battle of al-Taff.
