The capitals from which activists participated and their symbolic solidarity stances were Brussels, Paris, Berlin, Rome, Amsterdam, Oslo, Madrid, Geneva, Copenhagen, Baku (Azerbaijan), Dublin, Luxembourg, Lisbon (Portugal), Malmo (Sweden), Lyon (France), Dusseldorf (Germany), The Hague (Netherlands) and others.

The World Health Organization has previously appealed to governments to release the prisoners.
