The Prince of Wales also sent a message of support to the British Muslim community as part of a virtual Iftar at the start of Ramadan.
After using the famous Islamic greeting ‘Assalumu Alykum’, Prince Charles said: ‘Most tragically I know that a number of highly experienced and invaluable doctors and nurses from the Muslim community have lost their lives to this pernicious virus.
‘To their families and colleagues, I can only convey my deepest possible sympathy, and to everyone on the front line of whatever religion, I offer my profound admiration and heartfelt gratitude for everything they are doing for all of us.
Amged al-Hawrani and Abdul Mabud Chowdhury are among the British Muslim doctors and health care workers who lost their lives in the battle against coronavirus.
