India is witnessing racist treatment against Muslims infected with coronavirus and the Muslim medical staff, as recently two children lost their lives due to the hospital’s non-acceptance of their Muslim mothers for racist reasons.
The hospital in the city of Jamsheed Port, in the state of Jharkhand, refused to accept a Muslim woman who was bleeding when she was beaten and accused of having coronavirus.
This racist act came after members of the ruling Bharatiya Janata party led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that a mid-March symposium of an Islamic group in New Delhi caused the spread of coronavirus in India.
Meanwhile, the Islamic Human Rights Committee in London announced that hospitals in the Kashmir Islamic region controlled by India suffer from a shortage of doctors and a scarcity of hospital supplies from hospital staff.
The committee called on all activists to contact international organizations, including the High Commissioner for Human Rights, to protest the health situation in the Kashmir region.
