The source said that ISIS gunmen attacked a security checkpoint of the Federal Police southwest of the city of Kirkuk, which led to violent clashes between the two sides.

The source confirmed that the terrorists bombed the headquarters of a brigade of the Federal Police near the oil fields in Khabaza, which resulted in the seriously wounding of an officer.

Before the attack on Sunday, the Federal Police announced the confiscation of equipment between the villages of Atachana and Mansuriya in Kirkuk, “containing explosives, rocket-propelled grenades and explosive devices belonging to ISIS.”
