The total number of martyrs of women as a result of the air strikes of the American-Saudi aggression during the past five years has reached more than 2355 women, and the number of wounded more than 2725 women.

The statistics were received in a press conference in the capital, Sana’a, on violations of the aggression coalition against Yemeni women, organized by the Equity Organization for the Rights of Women and Children on the occasion of International Women’s Day.

The head of the organization Somaya Al-Ta’fi reviewed the organization’s report, which shed light on the grave violations of Yemeni women, especially the killing and maiming of women, and highlighted the murders, rapes, and kidnappings of women in the areas under occupation.

The report also reviewed some of the other violations against women, such as deprivation of education, health, food insecurity, spread of diseases, epidemics and psychological effects as a result of war, siege, and displacement.

The report included international mechanisms for the protection of women, the measures taken by the United Nations and its various bodies to protect women and the extent of their effectiveness in alleviating their suffering and reducing the risks and effects of aggression, siege and war on their lives.
