The International Monitoring Board of the Saudi Administration of the Two Holy Mosques condemned, in the strongest possible terms, the Saudi regime’s killing of thousands in the siege of the Grand Mosque in Makkah in the year 1979, the details of which were revealed by the “What is Hidden?” program recently broadcast by Al-Jazeera.

In a statement, the International Commission said that the bloody dealing with the aforementioned incident proves once again the historical failure of the Saudi regime to manage the two holy mosques, including the use of foreign forces and the desecration of the sanctity of the two mosques.

The international body affirmed that the incident of the siege of the sanctuary and the consequent killing of thousands of innocent people, the majority of whom are pilgrims, will remain a stigma in the history of the Saudi regime and its bloody management of the two holy mosques, and proves once again the eligibility to demand the end of Riyadh’s unilateral administration of the two holy mosques.

The authority renewed the call for taking practical steps to involve Islamic institutions and governments in the management of Islamic feelings in Saudi Arabia, after the failure and limitations of the current administration in managing feelings in a proper way that respects the sanctity and place of Muslims.
