In a statement, the Ministry confirmed that the Afghan forces launched a security operation to combat terrorism, which included 15 states, killing 68 militants and wounding 20 others, and arrested 25 militants.
The Ministry of Defense said that an air strike on the locations of the militants in the village of Simnak, in the central province of Doltyar, killed 15 extremists, including three field commanders.
