The World Nonviolence Organization, Free Muslim, called on political systems and official leaderships in the Arab and Islamic worlds to adopt measures and decisions that promote tolerance among its people.

“The international community has marked 16 November as the World Day for Tolerance, as a necessity to ensure that human rights are not violated and contribute to the sustainability of social peace,” the organization said in a statement.

The statement added that the Organization finds in tolerance afflicted peoples, especially in developed countries, due to the ongoing moral and material conflicts in more than one area or state, clearly reflecting the magnitude of the crisis that crystallized after the growth of extremism and monopoly of power, which are serious violations.

The statement called for the necessity of investing this international day because of its intellectual and humanitarian status, through procedures and decisions that promote tolerance among its people, such as the release of detainees on political backgrounds, and providing a margin of acceptable freedoms such as the right of expression, difference, peaceful opposition, and other measures as a good expression.
