On the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, the world non-violence organization, Free Muslim, called on Arab and Islamic governments to protect their rights and ensure their security and dignity.

“Women have been and still represent more than half of human society and a key partner in sustaining human prosperity in all walks of life. Islam and positive norms have been honored by the laws of human civilization,” said the organization’s statement. 

The organization stressed that a large number of women continue to suffer to this day the deprivation of the right to education, health care, self-determination and other violations in some countries which see women as a creature of the lowest degree of human beings. 

Free Muslim pointed out that these violations, as everyone is aware, are a barrier to equality, development and peace, as well as the fulfillment of the human rights of women and girls.

The organization called on the Arab and Islamic governments in particular to pay attention to the importance of this Declaration and its humanitarian decisions, and work to neutralize women political and military conflicts, and work to protect their rights and ensure their security and dignity, in compliance with Islamic teachings and international laws.
