More than 43,000 patients have died from being unable to travel for treatment abroad due to the siege of the Saudi coalition and its closure of Sanaa International Airport since 2016, said Yemeni Ministry of Health spokesman Dr. Yousef Al-Hadri.

Al-Hadri said that thousands of disabled people could have been treated if they had been able to travel outside Yemen for treatment.

The siege and the closure of the airport caused the death of more than 28 thousand cancer patients due to lack of required medical supplies.
