Indian shrine built in the name of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, became a haven for Muslims and non-Muslims


The Deccan Herald online newspaper said that Shia religious sites played an important role in bringing people together, as they symbolize the meeting of their love for the Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them.
According to what was published by the newspaper, and followed by Shia Waves, “One of the important examples of these religious sites with high symbolism and ancient history is the ‘Imam Bara’ site located in the city of Kurbhar, Uttar Pradesh, where the religious site was and still serves as a symbol of community harmony.
The newspaper explains that “this blessed place was established in the name of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, and to commemorate this name, Shia Muslims in the country visit it to hold their religious ceremonies and rituals.”
It notes that “the place is not limited to Shias only, but people of different religions, including Hindus, come to visit it and seek blessings from it.”
