News agencies quoted witnesses saying that the intensity of the explosion reached a point that shook the area and broke the glass of shops and houses several kilometers away, and caused great destruction in the vicinity of the explosion.
A car bomb packed with hundreds of kilograms of explosives, driven by a suicide bomber, broke into the gate of a police headquarters next to an Afghan army post and exploded before reaching the military compound, an Afghan police spokesman said.
According to medical sources, the number of victims of the terrorist operation stands more than 200, including 21 dead, including five police.
