The International Non-violence Organization Free Muslim called to stop house demolitions in Jerusalem, calling on the international community to intervene to stop them.
In a statement received by Shiawaves, the organization said it had seen the provocative actions being carried out by the Israeli authorities in the city of Jerusalem, including the demolition of Palestinian homes recently. Israeli forces began demolishing Palestinian houses that they considered illegal in the area of Sur Baher.
The statement added that the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs reported that the Israeli decision includes 10 buildings, some of which are under construction and will cause the displacement of 17 people and affect 350 others.
The Israeli authorities did not take into consideration the human rights and laws in force, and they are a blatant threat that requires legal and punitive accountability, especially since Israeli pretexts and arguments do not result in depriving civilians of their homes and displacing them from disputed territories.
The Organization called on the international community to intervene to stop these acts and urge the conflicting parties in those territories to dialogue and adhere to peaceful and civilized means to overcome the harmful conflicts and avoid escalation and violence that has been going on for decades, stressing the importance of the international community to play a serious role in resolving the crisis.
