Islamic centers in Latin America receive Spanish translation of holy Quran
Spanish translations of the holy Quran were distributed among Islamic centers and mosques in a number of Latin American countries.
According to Anadolu Agency, Turkey’s Religious Waqf (endowment) Institute provided the books as part of a plan titled “Quran, My Gift”.
Mosques and Islamic centers in Colombia, Guatemala, and El Salvador have so far received the translations.
The institute plans to donate more copies of the translation to Islamic centers in several other countries in the region, including Panama, Chile, and Peru.
It has said that it will distribute 55 thousand copies of Quran translations in 10 different languages in 17 countries by the end of the holy month of Ramadan (June 14).
In the past few days, 5,000 copies of a Quran rendering in the Tamil language were distributed by the institute in Sri Lanka.
