The Muslim Student Association at East Stroud sburg University is hosting a series of events starting from March 21 to 24, during an Islamic Awareness Week.
“We want to celebrate Islamic culture and remove any misconceptions or stereotypes surrounding our community,” Binetou Fall said, a senior majoring in business management who is also president of MSA, she added “This is a great opportunity for others to learn about another culture — it’s something that I hope impacts many people.”
Events for the week include learning about modern issues facing Muslims in America and a discussion on the Islamic religion.
