Karbala, Iraq, held a series of Quranic courses in the Indonesian capital of Jakarta
The Dar-ol-Quran Center of the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine in Karbala, Iraq, held a series of Quranic courses in the Indonesian capital of Jakarta.
According to the shrine’s website, the courses featured accurately reading the Quran and memorizing verses of the Holy Book.
Mohammad Baqir al-Mansouri who supervised the Quranic courses, said they were organized to teach Quran to students and also prepare and enhance the skills of Quran teachers in Indonesia.
He said 175 students from both genders took part in the courses and 30 of them managed to learn the 29th and 30th parts of the Quran by heart.
He added that each course consisted of ten or more sessions and the memorizers were aged 4 to 17.
The Dar-ol-Quran Center of the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine holds such courses in different parts of the world with the aim of promoting the Quranic culture.
