Mourning ceremonies in Frankfurt to mark martyrdom anniversary of the Holy Prophet

The programs will begin with congregational evening and night prayers

 

The martyrdom anniversary of the Holy Prophet, peace be upon him and his progeny, and the martyrdom of Imam Hassan and Imam Redha, peace be upon them, will be mourned in a series of ceremonies to be organized in Frankfurt from the 9th to 11th of December.

The programs will begin with congregational evening and night prayers, and continue with Quran recitations and supplications and finally conclude with eulogies. 

The 28th day of the month of Safar marks the martyrdom anniversary of the Prophet Mohammad, peace be upon him and his progeny. The day also marks the martyrdom of the holy prophet’s grandson Imam Hassan, peace be upon him, the second revered Shia Imam.

The martyrdom anniversary of Imam Redha, peace be upon him, the eighth Imam of Shias, who was martyred on the last day of the month of Safar, will also be mourned by Shia Muslims in different countries.
