Shia school in US distinguishes itself over academic achievements

Houston, Texas, has won a prestigious award recently as it was presented 1st place for the Science and Engineering

 

Students from Al-Hadi School – a Shia Muslim majority school based in Houston, Texas, has won a prestigious award recently as it was presented 1st place for the Science and Engineering Fair at the University of Houston.

Several other awards in other subjects were also presented to the school in recognition of its academic excellence and overall achievements in the field of education. Children were given gift cards and other prizes as rewards.

Shia Islam has been a long advocate for educational excellence in all fields – an expression and pillar of faith. The first message passed on to Prophet Muhammad was in fact “Read”, promoting education.
