A group of Shias in India commemorated the establishment of two three decade-old NGOs, Alimaan Charitable Trust and Imaan Foundation. The organizations have been involved in charitable work in the field of education, medical treatment, housing, assisting the widows, orphans, and families of marytrs.
“These trusts were established by Shias but the beneficiaries have been people from all faiths,” said president of the trusts Mohib Ali Nasser. Eminent Shias, including Allama Musawi and Dr. Ammar Rizvi from Lucknow, spoke at the commemorative function.
