UNRWA Chief: Unprecedented Toll on Journalists and Aid Workers in Gaza

UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini stated that the scale of violence in Gaza is unmatched in modern conflict, with no safe zones and continuous strikes on homes, schools, hospitals, and shelters.
He highlighted the unprecedented number of health workers, journalists, and humanitarian staff killed during the ongoing war. Lazzarini warned that starvation threatens the entire population, describing it as a slow, silent death or one faced during desperate food searches.
UNRWA media advisor Adnan Abu Hasna accused Israel of ignoring international laws and denying the existence of famine, warning of a total collapse of the humanitarian system. Meanwhile, the Israeli military urged northern residents to evacuate, showing uninhabited zones in central and southern Gaza as alternative areas.
