Middle East Research Institute warns of serious crisis to strike many Arab countries due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine

The Middle East Research Institute has warned of a serious crisis that will strike many Arab countries due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine and its repercussions on wheat production in these two countries on which most countries in the region depend.
According to Agence France-Presse, the institute said that while the conflict in Ukraine rages after the Russian invasion, Egyptians, Lebanese, Yemenis and citizens of other Arab countries may find it difficult to provide bread at the dining table, as Russia and Ukraine are their first wheat suppliers.
It pointed out that if the war disrupts wheat supplies to the Arab world, which depends heavily on imports to provide its food, the crisis may lead to new demonstrations and instability in several countries.
