Türkiye has been ranked the second most preferred destination for Muslim tourists, according to the latest “Muslim Travel Preferences” report by Mastercard and CrescentRating.

The report credits Türkiye’s strong cultural heritage, Islamic landmarks, and growing range of halal-friendly services for its high ranking, while Malaysia held the top spot.

In 2023, the number of Muslim travelers rose by 25% to 176 million and is projected to reach 245 million by 2030. The study also highlights emerging trends, including halal travel apps, solo Muslim travel, and wellness retreats focused on spiritual well-being.
