A Muslim cemetery in the western Copenhagen suburb of Brøndby was vandalized, Copenhagen Vestegn Police confirmed to the media.
According to police spokesman, some 50 graves were vandalized and numerous tombstones were destroyed and strewn over the burial grounds.
He said they were looking for witnesses that could give them more information, but some politicians questioned the police reaction.
