NASA warns of building-sized asteroid heading towards Earth

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has warned that a building-sized asteroid is moving at a high speed towards Earth.

According to reports, this massive celestial body measures 368 feet in size and is traveling through space at a record speed of 83,175 kilometers per hour.

Dubbed “2015 KJ19”, this colossal rock belongs to the Apollo group of asteroids, which frequently intersect Earth’s path.

The US space agency said that despite its high speed, there is no cause for alarm as the astroid will maintain a safe distance of 6 million kilometers during its encounter, equivalent to 15 times the distance between Earth and the Moon.
