Iraqi army forces have dismantled an ISIS cell in the region of “al-Yusufiyah”, southern the Iraqi capital of Baghdad, avoiding a major terror attack planned to target a large Shia gathering in the upcoming Arbaeen Pilgrimage.
In this operation three explosive belts, 30 bombs, RPG and a number of grenades were found.
Every year millions of Shia Muslims from across the globe walk towards Karbalato commemorate the fortieth day after the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him.
Last year, this gathering was named as thelargest religious peaceful gathering in history with the presence of nearly 20 million Shia Muslims.
