The fifth conference of followers of Grand Ayatollah Sayed Sadiq al-Shirazi in West Africa was held in Nigeria on October 9–10, 2025, under the theme “Return to Authentic Shiism and Youth Awareness.” The two-day event drew large participation from young people, religious scholars, and preachers from across the region, aiming to strengthen cultural and religious engagement and encourage youth to deepen their understanding of authentic Shiite teachings.
Organized under the supervision of Sheikh Ismail from Niger, and attended by prominent clerics including Sheikh Abdul Rahman Saleh, Sheikh Jibril Hassan Ada, Sheikh Musa, Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah Belluwa, Dr. Nasser Jafar, Sheikh Uthman Thaqafi, and Sayyid Sharif Shibli, the conference emphasized the role of religious education, confronting doctrinal deviations, and reinforcing ties with scholarly authorities. The self-funded event demonstrated the high level of independence and responsibility among Shirazi followers in West Africa. Participants also called for continued cultural programs, stronger regional collaboration, and youth empowerment initiatives.
Meanwhile, in Denmark, the Imam Sadiq Institute, affiliated with Grand Ayatollah Shirazi, held Fatimiyya mourning ceremonies to commemorate Lady Fatima Zahra (peace be upon her). Attended by followers of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), the event featured a speech by Hojjat al-Islam Sheikh Hassan Asadi, highlighting her personality, spiritual legacy, and role in defending the leadership of the Imams. The gathering concluded with mourning rituals to honor her memory.
