Grand Ayatollah Shirazi extends his condolences to victims of earthquake struck Iranian city of Khoy

The Supreme Religious Authority, His Eminence, Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, offered his heartfelt condolences to the victims of the earthquake that recently struck the Iranian city of Khoy, calling on all believers to provide assistance to those who have been affected.

Seeking the legal ruling on distributing the Imam’s share to help those afflicted by the earthquake in the city of Khoy, believers returned to his Eminence to know his blessed fatwa on this subject.

His Eminence, the Supreme Religious Authority, Grand Ayatollah Sayed Sdiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi authorized the believers to give charity out of zakat, alms and the blessed share of the Imam, may Allah hasten his honorable reappearance.

His Eminence mentioned in his blessed answer, which was seen by Shi’a Waves Agency, that he was “deeply saddened by the news of the earthquake that struck the Iranian city of Khoy and left many victims with the destruction of many homes and the displacement of their residents.”

His Eminence continued, “I call on all believers to come to assist those afflicted by earthquake, and I authorize them to spend all expenses such as charity, zakat, alms, and the blessed share of the Imam (may God Almighty hasten his honorable reappearance).”

Grand Ayatollah Shirazi prayed to Allah Almighty to have mercy upon the victims, grant speedy recovery to the wounded and to compensate those affected by the earthquake.
