The New York Times: Hazara Shias and minorities form armed group to defend themselves from ISIS terrorists and the Taliban in Afghanistan

With the withdrawal of US forces, advance of Taliban terrorists and the collapse of the security forces, the leaders of Afghanistan’s ethnic groups, including the Shia Hazara minority, announced the formation of armed groups to defend themselves.
The New York Times pointed out that the suicide bombings that killed many students, mostly teenagers, and the recent bombing in a maternity hospital, prompted the leaders of different ethnicities in Afghanistan to announce the formation of forces to defend their areas against terrorists of Taliban and ISIS.
Afghanistan’s Hazara leader Zulfiqar Omid commands 800 militants in seven districts.
The Hazara Shias are subjected to continuous attacks by terrorist groups, the latest of which was the bombing of a school for girls, which resulted in dozens of martyrs and wounded students.
