The Grand Ayatollah was born in 1354A.H in the holy city of Najaf, and killed in 1400A.H by Baathist groups in Lebanon while attending a memorial ceremony of Ayatollah Seyyed Muhammad Baqir al-Sadir and his sister.
The martyr took his role effectively in Karbala seminary alongside his elder brother Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Muhammad al-Husseini al-Shirazi, may Allah bless his soul.
It is worth mentioning that Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Hassan al-Shirazi, may Allah bless his soul, is the founder of al-Zaynabiah Seminary, establishedin 1975.
