The Grand Ayatollah Sheikh Safi Gulpaygani described the Husseini rituals as a link between all Shiites around the world, stressing on the importance of reviving these rituals.

His eminence referred to the huge attack by the enemies of Islam on social media against the Husseini rituals, including the self-flagellation rituals, calling the seminaries students and the lovers of Ahl al-Bayt to counter such campaigns.

His eminence added that humanity is zealous to rightfulness, referring to Imam al-Ridha, peace be upon him, when he said:“if people knew the truth about us, they would follow us.”
