Grand Ayatollah Sayed Shirazi says Shiism is a doctrine of persistence, challenging obstacles and injustices

Sayed Sadiq Husseini Shirazi has delivered an important speech to delegations coming from Iraq for commemorating the martyrdom anniversary of Lady Fatimah Massouma

 

 

In his honorable house in the holy city of Qom, the Eminent Grand Ayatollah Sayed Sadiq Husseini Shirazi, may Allah prolong his life, has delivered an important speech to delegations coming from Iraq for commemorating the martyrdom anniversary of Lady Fatimah Massouma, peace be upon her.

His Eminence said that Shiism was founded by the Holy Prophet, peace be upon him and his progeny, and by his successor, Imam Ali, peace be upon him, adding that Shia believers followed their paths throughout the history.

On the contrary, Umayyad and Abbasid rulers committed heinous crimes in the name of Islam, claiming they are following the right path of the Holy Prophet, Grand Ayatollah Sayed Shirazi added.

His Eminence went on saying that Shia Muslims bore and still bearing various kinds of obstacles, nevertheless, they face such obstacles with persistence, pointing out that they have never oppressed anyone since they are following the teachings the holy Quran which the Holy Prophet and his pure progeny followed during their lives.
