Office of Grand Ayatullah Shirazi Announces Saturday Eid al-Fitr

The office of the Supreme Religious Authority, Grand Ayatullah Shirazi, announced that Saturday will mark the First day of Shawwal al-Mukarram, hence Eid al-Fitr.

In a statement viewed by Shia Waves Agency, His Eminence noted that the crescent for the month of Shawwal has not been sighted, and therefore, Friday will be the last day of the holy month of Ramadan.
