Vatican Archbishop: World Is Blind to Persecution of Christians
————————————-
The Vatican’s diplomatic representative to the United Nations, Archbishop Paul Richard Gallagher, criticized the international community for its disregard of Christian persecution during his address to the UN General Assembly.

According to the Shia Waves Agency, citing Vatican News, the Archbishop highlighted the staggering scope of the issue: over 360 million Christians live in areas where they face discrimination, imprisonment, displacement, and even murder.

Gallagher also identified the “culture of death,” poverty, war, and climate change as factors exacerbating the harm to religious minorities worldwide. He urged the international community to take immediate and coordinated action to uphold religious freedom, the right to life, and human dignity for all.
