Grand Ayatollah Sheikh Bashir Hussein Al-Najafi took part in the annual Arbaeen pilgrimage march to Holy Karbala, walking alongside crowds of worshippers on the “Ya Hussein” route. Continuing his yearly tradition, the senior cleric was accompanied by scholars and students from the Najaf seminary, making the journey on foot despite challenging weather conditions.

Al-Najafi’s participation underscores the spiritual and religious significance of the Arbaeen pilgrimage, which commemorates the 40th day after the martyrdom of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him. His involvement is viewed as a gesture of respect for the shrine of the Imam and a reaffirmation of the importance of preserving the tradition.

During the march, the cleric offered prayers for the acceptance of the pilgrims’ efforts and for the success of those organizing the event. He also emphasized that the dedication shown in serving visitors reflects deep loyalty and commitment to the values of the Prophet Muhammad’s family, peace be upon them all.
